Hong Kong & Macau 2008 Day 9

Last day in Macau. Was filled with dread at the thought of going home, but was also feeling a tinge of relief at leaving this boring country and its money-swindling casinos.

After we packed our luggage, we headed to the indoor pool of the hotel. There were two jacuzzi pools, one with water at 40 degrees Celsius and the other with water at 12 degrees. We could not stand cold water, so we tried the former. The hot water certainly promoted blood circulation, because our cheeks were flushing, our lips were dehydrating and we felt dizzy the moment we stepped out of the pool. Went for a dip in the swimming pool after that.

The hotel logo etched in the sand in the dustbin's ashtray, nice!

We checked out of the hotel, made our way to our usual cha can ting to have our last meal there, before going to Rio to hit the last round of jackpot. Okay, I admit that we were addicted, but who cares now, we were going home soon! Suddenly, I recalled Ah Sir's shrill "赌博是害人的!" outburst.

I am SO going to miss HK food

Haha, same outcome. We left for the airport on Taipa. At the scanners, the officer made us gulp down the two canned Lotte drinks we tried to smuggle in, and he smirked at seeing how the liquid was spilling out of our noses.

Going home with our shopping harvests

Plane departed at about 7pm. Was greatly amused by a group of shameless Hokkien ah sohs who thought they had priority to board the plane first just because they had kids and the elderly in tow. You should have seen them chattering in a bitchy fashion and breezing proudly past the impatient people in the queue to the check-in gate. Now, that's true Singaporean spirit!

Till our next trip.
