Trip to Chinatown

Had delicious mudpies at Changing Attitudes with Slug, yum!

Oreo mudpie with a chockful of cookie crumbs and drizzled in choco fudge

Then had a walk along Chinatown and soaked in the festive atmosphere. Unfortunately we did not have enough time to complete our little tour, so ... will give a detailed account of the bazaar there the next time.

A whole street of da pai dang

A stall selling waxed meats

Stalls selling New Year decorations

to hao ling: haha, u oso can go and eat around mah. but there is a price to pay for eating so much. okay i will help u ask. u proficient in microsoft excel?

to wee: okay, good. if u dunch bring those horror / gore shows, ah sir will fall asleep.

to ah sir: omg! where did u hear that from! SO MALU can. according to joke 1, its true. coz the stupid cat kind of stripped off the lizard's skin and revealed the red flesh underneath. then my mum applied some antibiotic on the wound and it died soon after. as for joke 2 - my dad even talks to meow meow loh, but he seldom comes home that early to accompany my mum downstairs. anyway during CNY u can go witness the cat feeding session. (and pls keep bobbi AWAY) as for joke 3 - why bring up the botak bird? i thought it was dead liao? i haven seen it nor heard of it for a year liao leh.

to hao ling: erm data entry? my boss says he will check and get back to me. when u holidays?

to ah sir: haha! i went to tell my mum what u have said and she HERSELF almost died from laughing. she says the joke 1 is true, but I think the lizard was so shredded up and bloody that it just feel tired of living liao. as for joke 2, mum said dad HATES her for feeding the cats, so accompanying her is IMPOSSIBLE. as for joke 3, the botak bird died until dunno where liao. so end of story.

so in conclusion, mum says ah ma is 'lao huan dian'.

anyway have u heard of the story of Ah Q, the kampong dog owned by ... our aunties?

Ah Qing said...

to hao ling: no worries. there are no such thing as working on weekends in stat boards. OT is rare too. pay is about hmmmm ... cant say for sure. $6 or $6.50. think my boss is considering coz there will be quite some data entry to do in teh next two weeks, but i dunno if it can last u for two months.

the best bet is to find a job agency. my boss is SLOOOOOOOW in replying. or u want to call the HR dept directly?

Karen said...

Qing - huh... I think if I called the HR dept more jialat, bugged ur boss. I dun like agency lah...
Tell ur boss I am very hardworking one... Hee
