Philippines 2009 Day 5

Packed our luggage and had our last breakfast at Amorita, before taking Gil's car to the airport.

Chicken porridge for breakfast!

One last game of table soccer before going

Boarded the plane at 12.40pm bound for Manila. Arrived at Terminal 3, and were picked up by Slug's brother and his family. We were taken to his residence at Kensington Place at Makati, the major financial and entertainment district in Metro Manila. We were deeply impressed by the comfortable condo-style abode, and the best part was, they had tidied up a bedroom for us!

Slug's brother then took all of us out for lunch at Greenbelt Shopping Centre, where we also watched Terminator 3 after that.

Burgers at Brothers Burger are huge

We were then taken to Seaside Seafood & Wet Market for dinner. We chose the seafood at the wet market, and then took it to the seafood restaurants just beside the market where the chefs whipped us our sumptuous seafood dinner. Slus's brother selected two huge crabs, a large pile of prawns, scallops and a red snapper. His bargaining skills are superb.

Prawns and lobsters

Moray eels are too cute to be eaten

This restaurant is highly recommended by me

We were then served chilli crab Singaporean-style, baked scallops with cheese, tempura prawns and steamed red snapper Teochew-style. Highly delectable. I haven't had such a satisfying seafood meal in a long time. Below $150 altogether for the 6 of us ... ... cheap!

I would gladly pile on the pounds for this basket of tempura prawns

Spent the rest of the night lazing on the couch and watching cable TV. It is amazing how Manila can receive so many channels from China and Taiwan.
