Night Out with Bong and Mo

Met Bong and Mo for a girls' night out! Initially intended to chill out at Boat Quay (in a weak attempt to revive last Sat), but Bong somehow managed to convinced Mo to go to our fave haunt instead. Yeah!

The gruelling walk from Boat Quay to dbl 0 sure made Bong and I nostalgic. After Bong had dinner at Liang Court, we walked leisurely to dbl 0. Talked to a pleasant blonde from NZ who is here on an army exchange programme.

Had vodka lime which was overwhelmingly saccharine, made me and Mo cringe like mad. Two little sweeties wearing cute cheerleading outfits and straight-cut orange bobs hopped along and persuaded us to buy some testtube crap from them, and amusing us with a puzzle box. A buaya interrupted and asked one of them if their hair was real, and though it was such a lame question, Mo and I could not help but tug at their wigs to get the answer (and they didn't mind, how sweet)!

Hit the crowded dancefloor as soon as the good retro songs came. Horrors of all horrors, some stranger actually recognised me to be from AHS, and Mo and I haven't the faintest idea this person existed during our seondary school years. She was one year my senior and could not be affiliated to me in any way (not even ECA), yet she recognised me because she thinks I still look the same after all these years. Must be my dammit hairstyle again.

Bong was the star of the night, just because she thinks her outfit wasn't "corny". There went the Stripes and his attitude problem, D and his perverse ways, X and his non-existent guts, and an over-zealous and persistent one which was pretty much a pain in the ass.

The music was good, with the familiar R&B numbers, and the DJ was nice enough to throw in a few old-school techno tracks (yoohoo!). At about 3am, we were so exhausted and were about to step out of the dancefloor when Sean Paul's 'Get Busy' pulled us back in to boogie again! We just CANNOT miss this track!

What a great way to end the night.
